Sailor Girl by Sheree-Lee Olson will be Bookmarked in Port Colborne at Lock 8 on the Welland Canal on October 12, 2011 at 11 a.m. All unveilings are open to the public.
Project Bookmark Canada celebrates locally-inspired writing by installing Bookmarks - a plaque bearing a selection from a notable Canadian literary work set - in that exact location. Previous bookmarks include:
· In The Skin Of A Lion by Michael Ondaatje, Bookmarked at the Bloor Viaduct, Toronto, April 23, 2009, and
· Garbo Laughs by Elizabeth Hay, Bookmarked at Bronson Place, West side (near Fulton) at Colonel By Drive, Ottawa on October 26, 2010
